Project Type: Social Media Management & Paid Marketing

The Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce received tourism funds from the San Bernardino County Economic Development Agency (EDA). 100% of these funds needed to be spent on tourism efforts.

In 2019, Digital Mountaineers bid for and was awarded the project to create and manage all chamber social media. The goal was to showcase the Running Springs Area (Running Springs, Arrowbear Lake, and Green Valley Lake in Southern California) and promote overnight stays in the area.

We were charged with creating new tourism social media (Visit Running Springs for Facebook and Instagram) and assuming management of existing social media (Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook, Running Springs Farmers Market & Artisan Faire Facebook).

We also coordinated with the winning videographer vendor to created the ad spots you see in this portfolio. 2AM Productions did an excellent job on execution and was a valuable partner to Digital Mountaineers. When creating expensive content such as videos, we believe it's important for videographers and digital marketers to coordinate to ensure the video is leveraged well beyond a simple post.

After creating and building a foundation for all social media profiles, we provided the Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce a summative report to demonstrate the progress made during the funding period. The report provided also helped the chamber when it came time to submit their tourism efforts report to the EDA. The EDA not only was impressed with the results, they lauded the chamber and used the report as an example for other chambers.

Digital Mountaineers was pleased to be awarded the contract for a second year in a row in 2020. Within 72 hours of beginning the contract, Visit Running Springs surpassed the most-liked tourism page in the Rim of the World communities.

Within a month, Digital Mountaineers was able to bring the chamber's Facebook presence from the Chamber Facebook page with the fewest likes on the mountain, to the second-most liked chamber Facebook page on the mountain. We expect to bring Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce to the #1 position well before the end of this year's contract.

It’s a new year and time to spotlight more incre It’s a new year and time to spotlight more incredible Positive Impact Organizations! Every month, we highlight a new org to keep in mind for @givingtuesday, a global generosity movement created in 2012 as a simple idea to have a day that unleashes the power of radical generosity and encourages people to do good.
This month we’re spotlighting the Inland Empire Lighthouse for the Blind @ielighthouse, a 501c3 that offers services completely free of charge, regardless of age, race, creed, color or gender. The only qualification is that a member receiving service be legally blind and have the capability to participate in a classroom setting.
The Inland Empire Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is a place where adults who are visually impaired can receive training to overcome the disabling effects of blindness. It’s a place where they can prepare themselves to resume a full and normal life.
To find out more, be sure to follow them on social media and visit their website. And as always, we hope you’ll remember them when Giving Tuesday rolls around. ❤️

Fridays have great energy, right? Probably because Fridays have great energy, right? Probably because it leads us into the most popular days of the week, Saturday and Sunday!
It’s important to make sure you use your time off as just that - TIME OFF. Unplug from work and focus on that life/work balance.
When you work remotely, that balance is a little harder to achieve. There are blurred work spaces and times. This is all the more reason why you deserve to set boundaries for yourself to be able to relax.
When you carve out time to rest, everyone benefits. You are more present with your loved ones and you end up being more productive at work. It can be hard to turn off your work brain, but life isn’t all about work.
How do you find ways to unplug from a busy work week? Let us know in the comments below👇🏽
